Job Description
DSPlogic currently has a senior FPGA design position available with a high-tech company along Maryland's I-270 corridor. It is a 12-month contract position, with potential for contract-to-hire for the right candidate.
The senior FPGA development engineer will be responsible for the high-level design, detailed design, code, test, and integration of FPGA modules for next generation wireless communications devices. This engineer will also interact with customers and direct the efforts of other engineers.
Required Skills
- At least 6 years experience programming FPGAs with VHDL.
- VHDL simulation, timing analysis, synthesis and FPGA place & route using Xilinx implementation Tools and Modelsim Simulator
- Experience managing and mentoring other engineers
- Experience 1M+ gate designs
- Experience with quality-oriented design procedures and flows.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and be self-motivated.
The following skills are useful, but not required
- Communication systems theory and modem implementation
- Coding/decoding theory and implementation.
- Hardware PCB design and schematic entry
- Triple Mode Redundant (TMR) logic design principles
