Job Description
DSPlogic currently has an FPGA/DSP design position available with a high-tech company along Maryland's I-270 corridor. It is a 12-month contract position, with potential for contract-to-hire for the right candidate.
The FPGA development engineer will be responsible for the design, code, test, and integration of FPGA modules for next generation wireless communications devices.
Required Skills
- At least 3 years experience programming FPGAs with VHDL.
- VHDL simulation, timing analysis, synthesis and FPGA place & route using Xilinx implementation Tools and Modelsim Simulator
- Experience with quality-oriented design procedures and flows.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and be self-motivated.
The following skills are useful, but not required
- Communication systems theory and modem implementation
- Hardware PCB design and schematic entry
- Coding/decoding theory and implementation.
- Triple Mode Redundant (TMR) logic design principles
